A chance to meet and greet Santa and the Grinch. While enjoying holiday cheer with fellow Oshwanians. Thank you, City of Oshawa.

https://www.oshawa.ca/explore-play/city-events/bright-and-merry-market/

Sam Ninan, Violinist

https://mahaonam.ca/artist/julia-taylor/

The Circus Drummer

https://www.facebook.com/theCircusDrummer/#

The next day is Santa’s Parade of Lights

What makes Oshawa’s Santa Clause parade so unique is that it is held at night. It is festive and fun with floats, music, dancing and of course some Shwananigans.

Unfortunately, this year due to weather conditions the parade was cancelled. We experienced thunderstorm conditions, and the city did not want to take any chances with there being thunder and lightning, so I understand.

Luckily here at Shwananigans, we are used to changes in the schedule.

I will be reciting one of my favorite stories from the past, while enjoying a nice hot cup of Nescafe coffee.
</itunes:summary><itunes:explicit>no</itunes:explicit><itunes:duration>00:17:59</itunes:duration><itunes:image href="https://hosting-media.riverside.com/media/podcasts/26127f40-f1da-4bc2-be15-b0bbe581a711/logos/d59da7b6-a5c1-4539-8170-7a6343bda294.jpeg"/><itunes:season>1</itunes:season><itunes:episode>9</itunes:episode><itunes:title>Ep-09-Merry Market and Gary The Farting Gingerbread Man</itunes:title><itunes:episodeType>full</itunes:episodeType>

Ep-08-Remembrance Day 2025

Remembrance Day 2025

I apologize to listeners regarding the sound there is a muffle setting I am still working on. The tanks were loud, and the Pipers were amazing.

On this day we celebrate 80 years past the end of World War 2.

We shall never forget.

Here are important Links.

Oshawa Remembers 2025 by Rogers TV

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjZeIJcw9B4

https://on.legion.ca/branches/oshawa/

Andrea

<itunes:summary>
Remembrance Day 2025

I apologize to listeners regarding the sound there is a muffle setting I am still working on. The tanks were loud, and the Pipers were amazing.

On this day we celebrate 80 years past the end of World War 2.

We shall never forget.

Here are important Links.

Oshawa Remembers 2025 by Rogers TV

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NjZeIJcw9B4

https://on.legion.ca/branches/oshawa/
</itunes:summary><itunes:explicit>no</itunes:explicit><itunes:duration>00:20:00</itunes:duration><itunes:image href="https://hosting-media.riverside.com/media/podcasts/26127f40-f1da-4bc2-be15-b0bbe581a711/logos/d59da7b6-a5c1-4539-8170-7a6343bda294.jpeg"/><itunes:season>1</itunes:season><itunes:episode>8</itunes:episode><itunes:title>Ep-08-Remembrance Day 2025</itunes:title><itunes:episodeType>full</itunes:episodeType>

Ep-07-The Canadian Tank Museum

Shelly and Andrea visit the Canadian Tank Museum located on Stevenson Road North in Oshawa. Organizers Lisa Terich and Rick Kerr discuss the interactive nature of the event, where actors portray historical figures from Oshawa's past, allowing attendees to engage with local history in a personal and immersive way. The event aims to raise funds for the Oshawa Museum while fostering community pride and awareness of the city's rich heritage.
