It started in a Grade 6/7 classroom, where I went to talk about social media. I thought I’d be teaching these kids how to build relationships and use the internet for good… but instead, they taught me something that changed everything.

What began as a talk about social media became a revelation about people — about how deeply we crave connection but how few of us were ever taught how to relate to ourselves first.

This is where my mission was born: to civilize.
To help people learn how to connect with themselves, so they can connect more meaningfully with each other.
